On Saturday, March 23, 2019, the Leeds Chargers Bantam Rep team won the 2018-2019 Upper Canada Minor Hockey League Championship against South Stormont. The Leeds Chargers finished second overall in the league standings and went on to beat Charlan and NGS (North Glengarry Stormont) in the first and second round of the playoffs. The final round was against South Stormont and both teams had similar records throughout the season to make the final round evenly matched. Leeds won their first game in Westport 4-2 and tied their second game 2-2 in Long Sault. Leeds hoped to win the championship in Athens but ended up losing 4-3. The fourth and final game was played in Long Sault where the Chargers won 3-2.

The Bantam Rep team played with speed and determination both offensively and defensively and with solid goaltending throughout the year. The Bantam Rep team is made up of 2004 and 2005 local kids.  These kids created a team with spirit and were able to motivate each other throughout the year to get them to the league finals. The Bantam Rep team would like to thank all of the fans that supported them throughout the regular season and the playoffs.
